About Kaula Yoga Marg

Kaula Yoga Marg (KYM) exists to preserve and share the Kaula Śākta Tradition with integrity, while making its spiritual knowledge understandable and accessible to sincere and dedicated seekers.

KYM is not intended to reduce the tradition into simplified spirituality or remove it from its sacred context. Our purpose is to help seekers approach this living tradition with understanding, devotion, appropriate practice, guidance, and spiritual community.

Our Vision

Kaula Yoga Marg is dedicated to preserving and sharing the Kaula Śākta Tradition by making its spiritual knowledge understandable and accessible to sincere and dedicated seekers, and by supporting them in their spiritual journey toward Yoga — union with the Divine Mother.

This Vision shapes how KYM teaches, practices, guides, and builds community.

Our Five Pillars

The work of Kaula Yoga Marg is organized around five interconnected pillars.

Preserve

KYM seeks to honor and safeguard authentic Kaula Śākta spiritual knowledge.

Preservation does not mean treating the tradition as something frozen in the past. It means respecting what has been transmitted, maintaining its sacred context, and helping ensure that genuine teachings are not lost, diluted, or separated from their deeper spiritual purpose.

Educate & Enable

KYM seeks to make the Kaula Śākta Tradition understandable and approachable to sincere seekers.

This includes explaining foundational concepts, sacred terminology, philosophy, texts, symbolism, spiritual practice, and the role of Devī in a way that helps seekers build a clear and meaningful understanding.

Education at KYM is not merely about collecting information. It is intended to enable deeper spiritual engagement.

Practice

Spiritual knowledge becomes meaningful when it enters lived practice.

KYM supports appropriate forms of sādhana, devotion, worship, meditation, mantra, contemplation, sacred study, religious observances, Satsang, and other spiritual disciplines consistent with the path.

Practice is approached with seriousness, reverence, and respect for the context in which teachings are traditionally given.

Guide

A sincere seeker may encounter many teachings, practices, interpretations, and claims.

KYM seeks to provide context and direction so that seekers can approach the Kaula Śākta path with greater clarity, discernment, and understanding.

Guidance is not about creating dependency. It is about helping the seeker understand the path, its purpose, and the appropriate place of teachings and practices within a larger spiritual journey.

Community

Spiritual life is not always meant to be walked alone.

KYM seeks to create opportunities for Satsang, shared learning, spiritual fellowship, gatherings, retreats, ceremonies, festivals, Ashram activities, and continued spiritual association.

Community provides a space in which sincere seekers can learn, practice, reflect, and grow alongside others who are drawn toward the Divine Mother.

How KYM Approaches the Path

Kaula Yoga Marg approaches the tradition as a living spiritual path rather than merely as a historical or philosophical subject.

We value:

  • fidelity to the sacred tradition
  • clarity in teaching
  • disciplined spiritual practice
  • devotion to the Divine Mother
  • appropriate guidance
  • respect for the role of Guru and lineage
  • spiritual maturity and personal responsibility
  • Satsang and spiritual community

Not every aspect of the tradition is intended for unrestricted public presentation. Some teachings and practices require appropriate context, preparation, guidance, or transmission.

KYM therefore seeks to balance accessibility with integrity — making genuine spiritual knowledge available while respecting the sacred boundaries of the tradition.

Who Is KYM For?

Kaula Yoga Marg welcomes sincere seekers who wish to understand the Kaula Śākta Tradition and explore a deeper relationship with the Divine Mother.

You do not need to arrive with advanced knowledge.

What matters is sincerity, respect, willingness to learn, and openness to spiritual practice and transformation.

KYM seeks to support seekers gradually — beginning with understanding, moving toward appropriate practice and guidance, and developing through continued spiritual association and community.
